Welcome to WildyWood Farm Campsite. We are a small friendly family run farm covering over 150 acres, situated in our very own valley and surrounded by the most stunning scenery. We enjoy a picturesque location nestled between two Pennine hills and beside the little woodland that gives the campsite site its name.
If you’re looking to find a quiet campervan or motorhome pitch in the Holme Valley then you have come to the right place! Only 3.5 miles from the centre of Holmfirth, WildyWood is a great place to base yourself to explore Summer Wine country. Indeed, much of the Summer Wine programme was featured on and around the farm.
There are endless walks around the farm and surrounding area, starting right at the campsite entrance, everything from short strolls to day long hikes. The surrounding trails and roads are great for the keen on and off road cyclist and offer a great way to explore the surrounding area. For those brave enough you could even try conquering the famous Holme Moss, a challenging 16 mile round trip from the campsite entrance. But it’s not for the faint hearted so be sure to bring your best cycling legs.
We have several good pubs offering food within walking distance and a village store in Scholes, about 1 mile away, with supermarkets, cafes and delis in New Mill and Holmfirth
These days our farm grows Christmas trees, has miniature cattle, miniature donkeys and grows hay/haylage. While the surrounding woods and hills have been left to go wild to encourage wildlife. Being fans of motorhome holidays ourselves, we have tried to create a site that respects the natural environment.
